At home outside
The summer in the north is short but that makes it all the more intense. The skies remain light 24 hours a day; thus nothing stands in the way of your midnight adventure.
In our region cycle tours are possible in every direction, along deep forests and past glittering lakes, over rarely travelled asphalt roads and gravel tracks. And anglers enjoy success in countless rivers and lakes.
Cloudberries – summer holiday in Lapland
At the end of July the cloudberries flourish in the forests neighbouring our POLARCTIS Lodge, a true symbol of Lapland. In August and September millions of bilberries, lingon and cloudberries wait to be plucked and processed. We turn these berries into compotes and marmalades, or freeze them so that we and our guests can also enjoy these delicious fruits through the winter. And mushrooms such as ceps, Slippery Jacks and Boletes also thrive in numbers.
When the temperatures begin to fall in the autumn, and the trees and bushes glow with the entire palette of colours of an Indian Summer, we begin training the huskies. The holiday period is now over and the pleasant anticipation at the pending long winter takes over.
We offer a multitude of activities to suit every taste, starting directly before your front door. Beginners and the accomplished alike are catered for in equal measure, and can tank up with positive energy for everyday life.
Our guided programmes are intentionally aimed at small groups. The selection ranges from short excursions through to multi-day adventures including overnight stays.
You can naturally also experience many activities under your own steam. We are happy to hire out the requisite equipment if necessary.
