Husky world
As soon as the first snowflakes start to fall, our huskies detect that the first dog sled tour is just around the corner. The word “too cold” does not exist for our faithful companions. The winter is their season, when they are capable of delivering unsurpassed performance. Your team of dogs is naturally delighted by every stroke and is even more motivated when on the move.
Standing behind your team of huskies as the musher is an adventure every time. Man and dog united in the snowy and breathtaking natural environs of Swedish Lapland; the hectic stress of everyday life is long forgotten.
All of our tours are suitable for beginners, although it is necessary to be in good physical condition. Otherwise you will be quickly out of breath with our four-legged bundles of energy.
After an introduction to the world of the musher, we greet our dogs and work together to attach them to our sled. The huskies can hardly wait to finally set off, and they demonstrate this loudly and impatiently.
All of our dog sled tours take us through the romantic winter landscape of the north. Now all we hear is our friends panting quietly and the crunching of the snow beneath the runners. Depending on the length of the journey we make one or more stops, in order to relax and bolster our energy. In the case of multi-day tours we stay overnight in cosy cabins or a typical Kota tent.
After hours rich with experiences we return tired but happy to the POLARCTIS Lodge. Once here we first take care of our team before heading to the Grillkota to grill sausages on the open fire, drink coffee and recover from our shared adventure.
