Magic lights



The Aurora Borealis (or Northern Lights) is the appearance of light which is caused when charged particles of the solar wind meet with the Earth’s atmosphere at the poles. Polar lights are usually visible north of the 60° parallel north and south of the 60° parallel south.

Four different types / forms of Aurora Borealis occur, which are dependent on the solar winds. These are: Corona, curtains, quiet arcs and striations.

The appearance of the lights has been scientifically explained for many years, although they continue to inspire the fantasies of people regardless. Thus, the Northern Lights are attributed with all kinds of mystical and fabulous influences and effects. And also little superstitious individuals prefer not to know about the real cause of the Northern Lights, instead – once having seen them - drawing their own conclusions and thoughts. The Northern Lights therefore have an inspirational, magical and fascinating effect.
