Samic tradition

We drive together to the moose farm located around 40km away. Here we gain an insight into these imposing animals and also have the opportunity to experience them close up. After a short coffee break we take our seat in the reindeer sleigh and drive through the deeply snow-covered landscape of Lapland to the reindeer farm situated around 10km away. Here, we are greeted by a traditionally dressed Sami. He gives us an insight into the history of reindeer breeding and the lives of the animals. We subsequently warm up in a Kota with a strengthening snack and hot drinks, whilst we are given further fascinating details on the life of a Sami. We then travel back to the POLARCTIS Lodge.
